President
Japan Philatelic Society, Foundation
Winter in Tokyo this year was cold and severe, but spring has sprung at last.
Soon we shall be able to enjoy cherry-blossom here, which is one of our happy events of the springtime.
Spring is also the season of personnel reorganization in many corporations and it is the case with Japan Philatelic Society, Foundation.
As I reach the retirement age, I resign the presidentship at the end of March to be succeeded by the new President, Mr. Kazuo Fukui, an eminent specialist collector of stationeries of China.
I do wish our overseas philatelist friends will extend their friendly cooperation to Mr. Fukui as they have done for me while I was doing the office.
From April on, I will support the new Board of Directors and will do my best for our JPS, especially in the field of international affairs.
Please feel free to make friendly contacts with me as ever.
