Kyushu-Okinawa Summit 2000 meetings were held in Okinawa, Miyazaki and Fukuoka in July 2000. The financial ministers met in Fukuoka, the ministers of foreign affairs gathered in Miyazaki and the heads of the states went to Okinawa. France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia, the EU and Japan participated and talked over political and economic problems. This is the fourth time for Japan to host the summit.
