It was in 1967 that the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) set International Children's Book Day on 2 April, Hans Christian Andersen's birthday. International Libraly of Children's Literature is opened on 5 May 2000. The stamps are issued in sheet of 10: two pairs of each setenant of two and two single stamps.
