(Small Notes for the Issue)
N87: 50 yen New Year's stamp for 2001 depict the unglazed clay bells of Jindaiji. The characteristics of the Jindaiji Dorei (unglazed clay bells) is its naive colors and patterns, which are now made by Baba Kikuo.
N88: 80 yen New Year's stamp for 2001 depict snake of Sasanobori, which is a folk wooden toy of more than one thousand and some hundred years of tradition. The characteristics of Sasanobori is its wild simplicity.
