[Note on the Stamps]
New definitive stamps were issued, following the design theme of revised definitive stamps issued on 2014 March 3, "The Nature of Japan." The motif of 140-yen definitive stamp is Kerria japonica, family of Rosaceae. This species is a deciduous shrub that mostly grows throughout Southern Hokkaido to Kyushu and form bushes by the river or wet slopes in mountains.
