[Note on the Stamps]
New definitive stamps were issued, following the design theme of revised definitive stamps issued on 2014 March 3, "The Nature of Japan." The motif of 10-yen definitive stamp is Nipponia nippon, family of Pelecaniformes Threskiornithidae. This species has become extinct in Japan, however, reintroduction project is being tried in Sado Island with a pair of birds brought from China.
