[Note on the Stamps]
New definitive stamps were issued, following the design theme of revised definitive stamps issued on 2014 March 3, "The Nature of Japan." The motif of 100-yen definitive stamp is Primula sieboldii, family of Primulaceae. This species is a herbaceous perennial that grows in the southern Hokkaido, Honshu and Kyushu. The color of flowers of wild species is pink and its blooming season is April and May.
