(Small Notes for the Issue)

Formal relations between Japan and Argentina started with the signing of a treaty of amity and commerce on 3 February, 1898. The relationship between the two countries has always been friendly. In June 1997, Emperor and Empress of Japan visited Argentina. Kaoliang, sweet corn, seafood and aluminum have been the major export of Argentina to Japan while Japan has exported machinery, electric goods and cars to Argentina.
