(Small Notes for the Issue)

Iejima or Ie island, is located at 9 kilometers northwest of the main island of Okinawa. It is a flat coral island and Gusukuyama, the hill 172 meter high, is generally called Tacchu. Sabani boat is slim but quick and tough against waves. The pair of dancers are performing Tanchamebushi, an old folk song.
